CygNet Well Test Module
The CygNet Well Test module:
- leverages the CygNet infrastructure stack: UIS, DDS, PNT, MSS, OPCIS, and VHS
- accesses building blocks for replicating device logic (defined in the XML configuration)
- uses triggers (manual or scheduled) to affect the well test process (Canvas HMI Screens, MSS)
- interfaces with external systems such as ForeSite to retrieve the well test records via the CygNet.API.WellTest
- supports up to 1000 simultaneous well tests.
CygNet Well Test Module High-Level Process Flow
The following diagram shows the data flow for the major components of the CygNet Well Test module:
- device logic building blocks (XML configuration)
- sequencing logic (triggers, on demand or scheduled)
- well test record processing (via custom scripting)
- raw well test record (stored in the CygNet Historian)

System Integration
The following diagram shows how the CygNet Well Test module interfaces with the production facility, CygNet host, and the ForeSite application to generate well test data from a production facility.
